The Notebooks of Maggie A
Part One

My principles are firm. I just frequently fail to live up to them.

Keeping your eyes on the prize means you're not looking at the local terrain --- that can trip you up. Situational awareness is important.

Jesus
suffered to save us? Prometheus had his liver devoured every single day only to have it regrow at night to be eaten out the next day.............now that's suffering. Mankind has a long history of "gods" who have suffered on our behalf.

It occurred to me one day. Maybe the goal should have been to try to retain a child's delight in things while not retaining a child's avariciousness.

Love is frequently blind. But for me, love is about seeing the whole person and loving them faults and all. If I can't do that, then I can't love someone. (Which doesn't necessarily mean I like that person........you can love someone and still not like them.)

Never turn your back on a riled up cat.

If the Devil's a "son of a bitch" then that makes God a woman.

Being ignorant isn't the same as being stupid. Now, shooting your mouth off on a subject on which you're ignorant ------ that is stupid.

All politicians are a combination of slime and spine. It's only the percentages that vary.

The one good point about cheating with someone is that you know without a doubt he or she is a cheater. So it shouldn't come as a surprise when that person cheats on you. But, somehow, it usually does.
